Review of The Guests of Cornerstone Park Las Vegas
Based on the review of Google Map, Joan, a guest at the park said:
“I enjoy this park. It’s peaceful and pretty. Lots of ducks and water birds, and Canada geese.
Dog friendly. You can hike around the entire lake in about an hour. There are several covered picnic table areas and barbecues. Nice lawn and garden areas with beautiful blossoming trees. The bathrooms are clean and have easy access. Volleyball and tennis courts. Easy access for the disabled. I have also seen farmers’ markets set up. The Canada geese are there every year and interact well with people. It’s so cute seeing the little goslings follow along. I recommend this park for relaxation.”
Jay Victor shared beautiful photos of the park and shared the following review:
“Beautiful local park surrounding Railroad Lake, here in Henderson. Paved walking/bike path surrounding the lake, and a great place to hike, jog, or take in the nice scenery. There are a few things to amuse kids, as well as covered picnic tables, and restrooms. There are a large number of Canada geese, which are fun to watch, but be careful where you step.”
Justin Brummage share amazing picture and a brilliant review:
“Great park for exercising or just enjoying the water view, though be sure to bring bug repellent in the evening, tons of bugs in the air. Plenty of birds, ducks and geese to see while walking around the lake. Park had basketball courts, volleyball, ample parking, decent restrooms for a park, plenty of benches, gazebos, trash and recycling receptacles, nice bridges to walk over sections of the lake. Overall one of the better parks we’ve visited in the Vegas area.
Playground: Plenty of areas for activities such as basketball, volleyball, workout stations, and grass.
Toilets: Decent for a park bathroom; however toilets do not have toilet seats.
Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs running around the park with lots of poop bag stations to pick up their mess.
Picnic area: Large gazebo and small private ones too.”
Thomas B., shared a wonderful review on Google Map with his photographs. Here is the review:
“This is one of our favorite parks in Henderson and has been for years, especially during the winter months when so many different species of birds migrate here for the winter. The park has a wide variety of amenities to include basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness court, walking/exercise course trails around the beautiful Merrill Kieffer Lake, a large open grass area, two large pavilions with picnic tables and barbeque pits, individual covered picnic tables, and restrooms. The restrooms are very well maintained, and the pavilions can handle large special events. But what makes this place special for us is the lake area, which is completely encircled by the walking trails offering unlimited viewing of the marshy grass areas full of wildlife, both local and migratory. The parking lot for this park is massive with plenty of handicapped parking. Finally, this is a wonderful place to visit either alone or with friends and family and kudos for Henderson Parks and Services doing such a great job of maintaining this and all the other parks in Henderson.”

I am really glad to find amazing birds like Pied-billed grebe, Costa’s Hummingbird, and yellow-headed blackbird.
